Mom's notes -
Both kids have their left ear tube in the process of working itself out.  ENT will see Isabella back in 6 months.  Gabriel, Gabriel no longer has his right tube in.  They need Gabriel's infection gone in order to get an accurate test on his hearing.  They are greatly concerned with the amount of antibiotics Gabriel has been on.  He is only off antibiotic for a week on average before having to go back on.  I am glad to hear that someone else shares my concern with this.  Gabriel is on a different regiment of medication to try to 'dry him out' for a MRI that will be taking place in a couple weeks.  After the MRI we will discuss plan.  As of right now the plan is to replace tubes, sinus cleanse, biopsy and 'open' the sinus's.  What opening the sinus's includes will be decided after the MRI.  The goal with opening the sinus's is to create a opening that allows the sinus's to drain better instead of getting backed up causing infection which is what appears to be happening now. So much for no surgeries in 2012.  I just hope this one really makes a difference!  I would love for Gabriel to have a break from being sick with these stupid sinus infections!

  1. Cute pics! Linking from Meriah's Blog Hop today! So sorry to hear about the sinus infections. Ugh. We thought we were going to have to go through something like that, too, but Samantha's infections miraculously stopped. ((knock on wood)) Hope everything goes well and that he can get off the antibiotics!
