Mom's notes

We have three goals for this program-

3. We want Gabriel to be off the bottle. We would like for him to drink out of something else! Done! Gabriel is drinking out of an open cup called a nosy cup!

2. We want to be able to brush Gabriel's teeth without all of the drama. Currently Gabriel screams, cries, throws up, whatever he has to do to get out of teeth brushing. It is traumatic for everyone involved. Done! We brush Gabriel's teeth every evening with only smiles!

1. We want Gabriel to eat. We would like to work him off the pediasure. Will he be eating steak by the time he is done with feeding therapy... NO. We want him to eat we are not specific on how we want him to eat. He will have to go though stages of puree's and work his way up. We just want to see him trying things and making progress. DONE!!!  Gabriel is eating three different stages of food (pureed, gritty and finely chopped). He is working hard on strengthening his jaw muscles to be able to chew. We are no longer use pediasure. We have transitioned onto Instant Breakfast. The whole family can benefit from this plus the cost is amazing.
Gabriel started intensive feeding therapy eating only yogurt and pudding (never in the same meal) and drinking pediasure. He now eats five meals a day consisting of three foods weighing a combined weight of 120 grams. He also drinks 150 grams of instant breakfast each meal.
This has been a long and difficult road but we have all worked very hard to make the most of this opportunity. We have a lot more work ahead of us but we are ready for the challenge.
I am so proud of my little man. This has not been easy on him yet he has met every challenge set before him to the best of his ability!
Gabriel has grown a half inch and gained over 2 lbs in the last 8 weeks. WOW!
