The home nurse came today. Gabriel lost 10oz in the past week. Time for concern. He has been taking everything by mouth, we are recording when and exactly how much he is taking down for the next two days. The nurse will be back Wednesday to see how things are going. He has been getting the correct amount down but is he using too much energy getting the food down that it is hard on his heart? We honestly don't mind the feeding tube but it is nice to have him eating on his own.
Our nurse rocks, she called our cardiologist right away to see what step he wanted next. It is nice to have everyone on the same page.
For every step back we take more forward. So, forward we will go! :)

ReplyDeleteMy first thought was is he being weighed on the same scale with the same conditions? When we go to the cardiologist, they weigh Lily fully clothed. At the pedi, she's bare.

Ya, I would have thought the same thing Cathy but it was the same scale, both with only a clean diaper on. Our little fighter is a strong little man, there is no other attitude we can have when we get to see his smile each day! What a gift we have been given!
