My infection is still not gone.
Gabriel's teacher called Gabe after Gabriel went potty in tears and then curled into a ball and cried. We called Gabriel's pediatrician who instructed us to take him to Devos Childrens hospital. Not wanting to repeat the terror of doing another Cath we opted on trying to get him to tinky in a cup. Gabriel was still dry from his last diaper change at school two hours before (he has been holding his tinky with this bladder infection). He not only went tinky in the cup he was able to stop and move to the toilet to finish (whimpering in pain the whole time but he did it!)! They ran tests on the tinky and found that his infection is either back or he has a new one started. The best guess is that it was never fully gone. The last test on the 4th when we were last in the ER he had a white blood count of 180. This time it was 7 (Normal is below 5). He is back on antibiotic. We need to continue to encourage him to empty his bladder. He had an ultrasound last Friday to see if his anatomy is correct or if that played part in his infection. The results came back all clear, everything from an anatomy stand point is correct. We are back home but have to visit Gabriel's pediatrician in 24-48 hours. Gabriel is feeling pretty puny right now.
