Mom's Notes - Gabriel is making improvements all over the place. Today in feeding therapy they brought me into the room. I was able to feed him banana and his new food sweet potato. We started with the mesh bags and I was able to go up to putting small pieces of food on his chewing teeth (molars).
While watching sesame street today Gabriel's favorite song came on, Jason Mraz's I'm Yours. This has been Gabriel's song for a very long time. When Gabriel had heart surgery it was the only way to calm him at times. So it is very near and dear to our hearts. Gabriel heard the background music and started sprinting around the house. He came back into the living room with his guitar and this is what followed.

Yes he is singing along at points. TEARS OF JOY!
Everyone needs a princess mermaid Bella!

Now onto the craziness of this morning. Gabriel managed to get through two locked doors this morning. We were beyond lucky that an amazing gentleman who lives two blocks down happened to be walking his dog at just the right time and realized something was not right. He ran into action and quickly got Gabriel back to the house before he got near the road. Gabriel has been testing his limits with the doors lately. We put a lock high up on the door but it can only be hooked from the inside. When Gabe went to work the usual locks were in place not the high lock. We will now be adding locks, I will be getting up when Gabe leaves and locking the high lock and we have alarms on the way. Gabriel is a runner. He always pushes his limits wherever he is at. SCARY!
I have no idea why my daughter always strips down to her unders for bed but we need some fancy improv dancing.

  1. Great Blog! Gabers' favorite song AND Elmo? Does it get any better than that?
Good news on his eating; bad news on "escapee" and near naked Sissy.
Aunt Brett escaped from us. Probably 3 yrs old in dead of winter. Walked thru snow to "Grandma and Grandpa Wings" house 5 acres away and knocked on door-IN JUST HER DIAPER. They called us. We did not even know she got out. She could have froze to death, but thank God it was Aunt Brett-Little Miss Furnace-who used to get out of bed looking like we plastered her hair with vasoline she sweat so bad.
