good morning

This is what mornings look like at the Purdy house.  I love lazy mornings with the kids even when they start at 5am.

We are working very hard at getting Gabriel to eat.  He is going to speech therapy (for feeding specific issues) once a week and we are working daily on getting him to eat.  I am not able to even get a toothbrush into his mouth to brush his teeth.  I have tried a finger brush and a regular kids toothbrush with no luck. We decided to buy a electric toothbrush.  Did you know that the most of the kids electric toothbrushes have a part that goes in circles and doesn't vibrate.  So we managed to find a kids toothbrush that vibrates for $69.99, OUCH.  Needless to say Gabriel is now the proud owner of an adult toothbrush that vibrates.  He loves it.  He even almost puts it in his mouth, at this point he puts it to his lips and gives it kisses.

I know it is hard to see because Gabriel would not turn around but here he is playing with his new toy (toothbrush).

Bells is eating cereal three times a day and baby first twice a day.  She is going to eat better than her brother in no time! Oh, wait, she already does...

Gabriel is currently on the poo list.  His little fingers have managed to rip the shift key off the left side of my laptop keyboard.  And now the Caps Lock key has come off.  Anyone have any idea how to fix stupid laptop keys... or son's fingers?

father's day

We sadly kind of blew through Father's Day here at the Purdy house.  Gabe, Gabriel, Garry (Gabe's dad) and Todd (My dad) will all be going together to a Detroit Tigers game in August to celebrate.

Gabe and I celebrated the union of two great people on Saturday (maybe a little too much, hence not doing much for Father's Day).  Paige Marie Turner one of my best friends from middle school through today will no longer be a Page Turner ;)  (Love ya Paige).  She married a great man named Daniel (Dan) Emmons and I had a front row seat.  I was honored  to be in the wedding party with my childhood sidekicks.  Kelly Vandermolen, Katie Johnson (now Ornelas), Paige Turner (now Emmons) and myself were always together through middle school and high school.  We went our different ways in college only to be brought back together suddenly when tragedy hit.  We became closer than we were in high school even with miles between us now.  I am honored to have each of them in my life!  The wedding was amazing and the party was rocking!

Gabriel and Isabella got to spend time at grandma and grandpa Hubert's house.  It must have been a blast because they are recovering with extra sleep as well ;).  Grandma Hubert and Aunt Brett surprised us with AMAZING pictures.  (I am slacking and had not yet taken Isabella for her 3 month pictures).  Below are wedding pictures and a couple pictures from the studio where Grandma and Aunt Brett had the kids pictures taken.

First I HAVE to show you the real Bella Buddha all hanging out in style!

clean, clean, clean

We are hoping to be in a position to sell our house this summer and move into a larger house.  We are packing items and trying to get the house into show shape so we are ready when the time comes.  We are cleaning fools right now.

While cleaning Isabella was carrying on something fierce.  She was not doing the hurt or hungry cry, just the angry cry.  I came in to see what her problem was only to find this...

The naughty little monster crawled in with her and was making faces at her causing her to cry.  I couldn't help but grab the camera and click a few shots before "saving" Bells.

If you don't already have an Oball for your child GET ONE NOW... They are amazing.  Every child I have met LOVES their Oball.  That is my little plug but these balls are so cool.  Even Bells plays with Oballs.  Gabriel played with his large Oball for hours today.

A few weeks ago someone came to our house and stole our cement Buddha.  We called the police to let them know and they told us that people have been stealing things out of others yards to sell at flea-markets.  How frustrating!  What worries me most is that the statue was very close to our house.  On a lighter side, I missed Buddha so much that I placed a Bella Buddha in his spot.

My little man loves to make faces.  When he sees that I have the camera he begins the show.  Here is todays show...  Which is your favorite funny face?

update

We have a few things to update before getting to cute pictures.

Gabriel had a ear, nose and throat doctor appointment three weeks ago.  They want him to have a sleep study.  We are still waiting for the study to be scheduled.  I think they see my phone number at the ENT office and groan.  I have called several times to see if the appointment has been scheduled.  I think they got the point because they called me on Friday to tell me that the appointment was still not scheduled.  Sleep apnea is not something that can be played with.  When my dad's appendix burst my mom was sent back home from the hospital to get his machine. I am worried about my little man!

Gabriel's Early On teacher is worried about how poorly he is eating.  We are heading back to speech therapy outside of Early On to see if we can FINALLY get Gabriel to eat.  Isabella is going to be eating real food at the kitchen table and there will be Gabriel eating his Pedia Sure out of the bottle (he still cant do sippy cups).  This image really worries me.  I hope we can get somewhere this summer with speech!

If you haven't noticed from the pictures, Gabriel's eyes are STRAIGHT!  They are looking amazing.  We see the eye doctor next month to see how he is progressing.  I am so excited!

Now on to the fun...
